How To Apply Glass & Tile Stain Repellent

Remove all existing mineral deposits first

The Glass Protector bonds only to a completely clean, mineral-free and dry surface. If existing hard water stains, soap scum or mineral haze are present, you must remove them first using Invisel Hard Water Stain Remover. Spray generously on the glass, wait 3–5 minutes, scrub gently with a soft non-scratch pad, rinse thoroughly and dry completely.

💡 Coating on a stained or damp surface is wasted coating. The nano particles need to bond directly to the glass — not to mineral deposits or moisture sitting on top.

Ensure the glass is completely dry

After cleaning, wipe with a dry microfibre cloth and allow to air dry. The glass must be completely dry before applying the protector — even slight moisture trapped under the coating will prevent correct bonding and significantly reduce how long the protection lasts.

⏰ For shower glass in humid bathrooms, after wiping dry, open windows and wait 15–20 minutes before applying. Humidity in the air can slow bonding.

Shake the bottle well — then apply a very small amount

Shake the bottle well for 15 seconds. This product is highly concentrated — less is more. Spray a very small amount onto the applicator pad, not directly onto the glass. Work in sections of approximately 30×30cm. A tiny amount goes much further than you expect.

✨ The most common mistake with glass protectors is over-application. A barely visible film is all that is needed — a thick wet application causes haziness and streaks that are hard to remove.

Spread evenly — buff until crystal clear

Using the applicator pad, spread the product in circular or sweeping motions across the section until it appears to disappear. The surface should look completely transparent and streak-free. If you see any haze or streaking, buff with a clean dry microfibre cloth immediately — while the product is still wet.

💎 For large shower glass panels, divide into four equal sections and complete each section fully before moving to the next. Do not let the product dry on any section before buffing — work quickly.

Allow 12 hours cure — no water contact

Once the full surface is treated and buffed clear, allow 12 hours with no water contact on any treated surface. For best results and maximum bonding strength, 24 hours is ideal. After curing, water and minerals will bead off on contact.

🌙 Apply in the evening. By morning the shower glass is fully cured and ready for use. The first shower after curing is always the most satisfying — water rolls off in perfect beads.
