How To Apply Wood Protector & Enhancer
Clean the wood surface
Check the wood for dust, grime, oil residue and old polish or wax buildup. Any residue on the surface will prevent the nano coating from bonding directly to the wood fibre. Wipe with a clean dry cloth first to remove loose dust. For stubborn grime, old polish residue or grease, spray Invisel Multi-Surface Cleaner onto a cloth — not directly on the wood — and wipe in smooth strokes in the direction of the grain.
Dry completely
After cleaning, wipe with a dry microfibre cloth and allow the wood to air dry completely. Wood absorbs moisture and a damp surface will prevent the nano particles from bonding to the wood fibre correctly. Any moisture trapped under the coating will cause it to lift or reduce the 6-month protection to weeks.
Apply a small amount to the applicator pad
Pour a small amount of Wood Protector & Enhancer onto the applicator pad — not directly on the wood surface. Work in sections of approximately 50cm × 50cm on large surfaces like wardrobes, or one piece at a time on furniture. Less product applied correctly outperforms more product applied incorrectly every time.
Work with the grain — always
Apply the product in the direction of the wood grain using smooth, even strokes. Cover the full surface — flat panels, edges and any recessed areas. The wood colour will begin to deepen visibly as you apply. This is the nano coating enriching the grain — a sign the product is working correctly.
Buff off all excess in the grain direction
After 2–3 minutes, using a clean dry cloth, buff the surface in the direction of the grain until smooth, non-sticky and uniform. The wood will look richer, deeper in colour, and have a natural, not artificial, sheen.
Cure for 12 hours before normal use
Allow the treated surface to cure for at least 12 hours before placing objects on it or exposing it to moisture. Full nano bonding and maximum moisture protection achieved in 24 hours. After 24 hours, spills bead on the surface instead of soaking in — and you will notice dust is significantly easier to wipe off than before.
Important Precautions
Always apply with the grain — never against it
Do not apply product directly onto wood, use the pad only
Never apply on damp or recently wet wood
Wear gloves during application
Work in ventilated area
Test on a hidden area first for dark, exotic or lacquered woods
